1. How many exercises did you design in the while-listening?Why?
There are three activities in the while-listening, which are answering question, match and filling in the chart. Listening to the tape for the first time, students are asked to answer a question which is the topic sentence of the listening material. By doing so, students can get the basic information about the listening. After the second listening, students will do a match exercise, by means of which they can grasp the detailed information of the listening material and their logical thinking will be strengthened. After the third listening, they will fill in a chart. This can help them master the information thoroughly and their spelling can be reinforced as well.
2.What to you think is the most difficult part of this lesson? Why?
The most difficult part of this lesson lies in the post-listening, the conversation and role-play. Because students are not good at oral English, it is of a bit difficulty for them to do conversation exercise which enlarges the vocabulary. Therefore, the teacher should get students familiar with the words and sentence patterns before this activity and encourage them to speak bravely.
